|
|
|

|
«electricBlanket»
«anyOne»
On their 4th full-lengh album titled «Anyone» Electric Blanket consistently refine the path they outlined with their last ep «No Neon». Their dreamy synthpop creates profundity in an effortless way. In a warm cloud of late 80ies / early 90ies synths and wave-inspired guitars singer Helena
touches with an impeccable instinct for just the right mix of intensity and slackness.

«ELECTRIC BLANKET»
«No Neon»
On their new EP «No Neon» we find Electric Blanket
in a state of limbo. Lost and dazed they're spending their
days, but you still know, burried down there is the sprout
of renewal. After three albums, including singles as «City
Lights» and «My Eyes My Heart», Electric
Blanket felt the need to enter a more experimental phase with
the release of a series of EPs. On «No Neon» the
band relocates it's synth-pop into a more mysterious dimension.

BUSSI
RECORDS PROUDLY ANNOUNCES THE NEW SINGLE BY ELECTRIC BLANKET
|
|
|
|
|
«ELECTRIC BLANKET»
«I Hate Sundays (Radio Edit)»
Electric Blanket's recent single «My Eyes My Heart»
became somewhat of an indie-hit at radio stations from the
North Sea to Lake Geneva. While being on tour with their current
album «How Much Peanut Butter» the Swiss Indie-Pop-Combo
now launches another single, «I Hate Sundays (Radio
Edit)». The song is available as a free digital download
on http://www.electricblanket.ch and is Electric Blanket's
way of saying "Thank You" to the people who are
supporting them by buying their music. As its name suggests,
the song is a hymn to sundays' depression and at the same
time, a wonderful cure to it.

«ELECTRIC BLANKET»
«How Much Peanut Butter»
In 2008 Swiss indie-pop-combo Electric Blanket made quite
an impression with its charming single «My Eyes my Heart».
The song was chosen for «Sounds! Summer Hit» by
Swiss National Radio DRS3 and even made it into rotation at
Berlin based Radio Station MotorFm. Now the band releases
its refreshingly headstrong album «How Much Peanut Butter».
With her seductive voice, Singer Helenka alternately tells
angry and innocent storys. Surrounded by purring guitars,
lo-fi synths, joyous drums and handclaps she struggles for
happiness.

SINGLE No.2
With «My
Eyes My Heart» Swiss Indie-Pop-Band
«Electric Blanket» spout the 2nd song in their
7-inch-Single-Series. And yet again they prove their talent
in writing chatchy popsongs with a darling heart. Bittersweet
vocals, charming guitars, casio-synths and playful drums tinker
a sheer trampoline of confidence. But «My Eyes My Heart»
also comes with backup; with their «Loose Edit»,
the band delivers the song's more down to earth twin and in
the «Seelenluft Remix» producer Seelenluft aka
Beat Soler builds an enchanted fairy-tale castle.

SINGLE No.1
«Electric Blanket»'s strangely naive but not so
innocent ear-candy
«I Never Ate That Bird»
is the first of a series of 7inch-singles (also available
as download). The song creates a very uplifting, propulsive
state of easiness and is typical for the bands very own mixture
of indie pop and electronic influences around Singer Helenka's
seductive voice. On the singles b-side the remix by the notorious
«Round Table Knights» takes control of the song
and forms a «perfect for the dancefloor» disco-indie-pop
piece. It comprises the same kind of relaxed euphoria that
this DJ-Crew is so beloved for.

DEBUT ALBUM «IT'S OK IT'S NOT OK» BY ELECTRIC

«ELECTRIC BLANKET»
«It’s Ok It’s Not
Ok»
Electric Blanket pushes electronic pop to the point of creating
basic warmth. the music is anchored in raw, demanding beats
and floated by vocals that toy with beautiful tones through
themes of incompletion and searches for a new cure.
the active guitar and synthesizer allow the audience to be
seduced and beguiled but never fully satisfied. the lyrics
are deceptively simple, creating intimate storylines that
merge with electronica to form soundscapes woven around an
essential silence.
